② | The running time is 60 minutes or more. |
③ | If selected, the entrant is able to provide an English-subtitled exhibition 35mm print or video (DigiBeta, Betacam, or DVCAM – NTSC only) for the festival screening, at the entrant’s own expense (if the film is in a language other than English). The entrant must also provide an English dialogue list, which will be used to create Japanese subtitles. |
④ | The work has not been commercially released (in theaters, on television, on DVD , or on the internet) in Japan prior to the final day of the festival. |
⑤ | The work is in line with the overall spirit of the festival. |

(4)Handling of Submissions | The festival and its organizers shall bare no responsibility for any submissions that are lost or damaged while in transit to the festival office. | |||
(5)Publicity | With permission from the entrant, the festival may use clips or other publicity materials associated with the work for promotional purposes on television, newspapers, magazines, web and other outlets. |
1. | The Japanese version of these regulations shall take precedence over any translations of the same. |
2. | With regard to any legal problems arising in respect to the submission or exhibition of works at the festival, these provisions shall be interpreted based on Japanese law, and in the event of any dispute arising, the Tokyo District Court of Japan shall have original jurisdiction in hearing the case. |
3. | The entrant shall be considered to have understood and agreed to be bound by these provisions from the moment that he or she submits a work and the entry is received by the office of the organizers. |
4. | The entrant may not refuse screening at the festival after being notified of the selection of their work for screening. |
5. | In the event that a third party becomes a stakeholder in a work after it has been selected for exhibition (for example, when the work is purchased by a distribution company, etc.), the third party shall not dispute the terms of these regulations. |
