The Okinawa International Movie Festival was born on this beautiful island, under the theme of “Laugh & Peace”. The 3rd OIMF will further highlight “local” and “global”.

The aims of our Regional Film and JIMOT CM COMPETITION are there to express the beauty and charm of regional localities through film. We will present works that are full of passionate feelings towards hometowns. World Wide Laugh will present films expressed without language which we expect will make people laugh regardless of age and nationality.

We are grateful for the many directors, actors, entertainers, artists and creators from both Japan and overseas who will be attending and providing works that will bind the hearts of all of our audiences.

We hope you will look forward to the OIMF, which is sure to make you smile.
