Welcome to the 3rd Okinawa International Movie Festival. The concept of the fesitival is “Laugh & Peace”. This fesival (OIMF hereafter) uses movies and footage to pass on the message of "Laugh & Peace" throughout the world, onece again.

The OIMF was based on a mission of the organizing committee to launch a new kind of movie and film festival that will unite the hearts of the people around world.

In the 1st and 2nd OIMF, creators from all over the world came together at this ultimate location in Okinawa. Based on their experiences here, they went on to produce movie after movie. We are very pleased to see how the OIMF concept of “Laugh & Peace” (smiles and peaceful hearts) touched the hearts of all participants.

This will be the 3rd festival, and we will be presenting even more wonderful movies and footage. In addition to presenting works that bring the community together, the OIMF is also committed to the promotion of the contents industry, and the development of regional economy.

We thank you for your continued support of the OIMF. Finally, we are only able to hold this 3rd OIMF thanks to the people of Okinawa, creators, volunteers, and all of the supporting and sponsoring companies and organizations. We deeply thank you all.
